HISTORY OF JEEVAN JYOTHI
The Sanskrit word “Jeevan” means ‘Life" and  “Jyothi “ means ‘Light’ .In other words Jeevan Jyothi means ‘Light of Life’.  In justice to the name given to it ,Jeevan Jyothi centre has been giving light and life to many young students by offering opportunities to learn various trades.

Over the last two and half decades , many rural students have benefited .Generally most of the students come from  poor and economic and educational background.

The students who join private ITI’s like ours are found to be mostly poor in academics. so it is a great challenge to motivate and help them to be independent. We were pleased to help many young students learn their skills, be trained ,develop good conduct and be self reliance.

It was in June 1986 that Jeevan Jyothi technical institute was opened offering the students the choice of two trades in the initial stage like carpentry and welding. in the course of time  new trades such as automobile and computer course training were introduced.

In 1998 driving institute was started. at that time the brothers purchased one acre of new land at National Highway 47 ,three kms away from the institute to start an automobile workshop to give practical  exposure to the trainees and also generate income for the institute.

In 2005 with the great initiative of Brothers the institute was affiliated to National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT), New Delhi and started three new trades like Welding, Mechanic Motor Vehicle and COPA (Computer Operator And Programming Assistant) and institute was renamed as Jeevan Jyothi Industrial Training Institute(JJITI)-subsequently ,with tireless efforts of the Brothers of Holy Cross in 2010 & 2011 new trades MECHANIC DIESEL ,FITTER and ELECTRICIAN were introduced to cater the needs of the students.

The institute is well equipped with lab and workshops and with experienced teachers who are working in the institute more than fifteen years.
